Ralph Lynn Allred, Major, USAF, (Retired)

Ralph Lynn Allred, age 81 of Clearfield, Utah, passed away at his home on April 27, 2011, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Lynn was born on June 3, 1929, in Bluffdale, Utah, the son of Joseph Parley and Venetta Elizabeth (Howell) Allred. He was one of seven children.
On August 3, 1953, Lynn married Jeannene Lovell in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and enjoyed these many years together. Together, they experienced the joy of raising three sons, Jodie (Kathy) of West Weber, Utah; Steve (Holly) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and David (Sheri) of Burley, Idaho. They also claim as part of their immediate family the Russian refugee family of Constantine and Marina Rodin. They have the heritage of 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren whom they adore.
Lynn is survived by his wife and children, three sisters and one brother. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the Clearfield Stake Center; 935 South State Street. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. in the Bluffdale City Cemetery where military honors will be accorded by the Hill Air Force Base Honor Guard. Friends and family may visit Friday, May 13, 2011, from 6-8 p.m. at the Lindquist Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd, in Layton, and at the church on Saturday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Vista Hospice for their special care.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests donations be made to the LDS Perpetual Education Fund.
