HH-3E #67-14719 of the 33rd ARRS at Kadena AB, Okinawa, Japan, crashed near Lye Island in 800 feet of water, killing three crewmembers, Capt. Tom Bauer (P), 1st Lt. Mike Hodges (CP) and MSgt. Eliud Torres (FE). Two other crewmembers, Bob Young & Patrick J. Hogan, survived.
