William A. Blackburn, Major, USAF (Retired)
March 24, 1933 – August 31, 1996
William Blackburn – A service will be held Friday afternoon for William Blackburn of Kingsburg, who died Aug. 31 in Fresno. He was 63.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Creighton Memorial Chapel in Kingsburg. A service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Funeral home. Mr. Ervin Weiland will officiate.
Mr. Blackburn was born in Mena, Arkansas and lived in Kingsburg for the past 25 years. He was a retired helicopter pilot for Central Valley Aviation.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Blackurn of Kingsburg; as son Russell Blackburn of Clovis; three daughters, Pamela Lewis of Fresno, Dawna Deaver of Modesto and Sandi Graves of Arizona; and a brother, Charles “Red” Blackburn of Mexico. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles, in 1983.
