William P. Boyd, Lt. Colonel, USAF (Retired)
March 16, 1930 – March 07, 2005
Flandreau – William P. Boyd, 74, died Monday at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls.
He is survived by three children, Michael, Rapid City, Virginia Boyd, Trent, and Carl (Dawn), Mechanicsville, VA; three grandchildren, Aaaron, Natalie and Sydney; a greatgrandson, Zane; and a brother, Frank (Gwen) of Acapulco, Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol, on April 5, 1977 and his parents.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Skroch Funeral Chapel, with Burial in Union Cemetery.

Major William P. Boyd served in the Vietnam War as a UH-1P pilot with the 20th SOS “Green Hornets” in the 1968-1969-time frame.
