Obituary:

James Russell Brownlee, age 80 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life on Thursday, November 19, 2015, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Jim was born Sunday, November 10, 1935 in Peebles, Ohio. He was the son of the late Edna (Inlow) Brownlee and Ellsworth Brownlee.

Jim served in the United States Air Force for 22 years and was a Spectre in an AC-130 Gunship. He served numerous tours overseas in Thailand, Vietnam and England. Jim loved his family and always put them first.

Jim is survived by: Wife: Joan Brownlee of Cookeville, Tennessee; 3 Daughters: Joyce and Robert Secott of Rickman, Tennessee, Jennifer Rostorfer of Niceville, Florida and Dr. Janice and Dr. Craig Naquin of Houma, Louisiana; 2 Sons: Curt and Karen Brownlee of Springfield, Lousiana and Stan Brownlee of Rickman, Tennessee; 14 Grandchildren; 18 Great Grandchildren; 3 Brothers: Ronald and Mary Brownlee of Washington Court House, Ohio, Joe and Lisa Brownlee of Las Vegas, Nevada and John Brownlee of Phoenix, Arizona; 2 Sisters: Reva Sue Michael of Washingston Court House, Ohio and Mary Katherine Shirkey of South Solon, Ohio; A host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by: 2 sons, James and John Brownlee. 1 Grandson, Shaun Secott. 4 brothers, Dale, Charles, Tommy and Eddie Brownlee.

A memorial service will be at 6:00 PM on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Livingston Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 233 Wayne Ave Livingston, Tennessee, 38570.
