HOWARD E. CASEY Obituary CASEY, Howard E., Maj. Ret. (USAF), 70, a resident of Mathews, AL, passed away in a local hospital after an extended illness.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 13, 2002, at Leak-Memory Chapel from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. A Full Military Honors Memorial Service will be held Monday, October 14, 2002, at 1:00 p.m. at Leak-Memory Chapel with Rev. Bob Crumbley officiating. Interment will be Saturday, October 19, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. in Greenwood Cemetery.
Howard was a pilot in the USAF serving his country for 22 years. He worked for the Alabama Department of Revenue for 14 years and was the Executive Administrator and a member of the Advisory Board of the Pike Road Volunteer Fire Department.
Mrs. Kasey is preceded in death by his mother, Lula Bell Leech. He is survived by his wife, Betty Kasey; three daughters, Debra Lynn Kasey of Montgomery, AL, Cindy Marie (Eddie) Dent of Trussville, AL and Teresa Louise (Stretch) Shirley of Davenport, AL and four grandchildren, Joseph R. Dent, Kasey M. Dent, Amber L. Shirley and Warren Shirley, III (Trey). Honorary pallbearers will be P G Jennings, Col. Wayne Burns, Robert Jones, Raymond Jones, General James D. Sheppard, Danny Howard and honorary grandson Adam Wyatt and the Pike Road Volunteer Fire Department.

Capt. Casey servered during the Vietnam War as a HH-43F pilot with Det. 9, 38th ARRS during the 1970 -1971.
