Dennis M. Chase Funeral for Dennis M. Chase will be Friday at 1 p.m. in Mt. Scott Funeral Home, with interment at Willamette National Cemetery.
Mr. Chase, who lived at 12129 SE Knapp Lane, was born Aug. 20, 1934, in Darington, Wash., and moved to Portland 18 years ago.
He was killed Monday in a helicopter crash in a logging site near Concrete, Wash. He was 40. Mr. Chase retired as a major last January after 20 years in the Air Force.
He is survived by four daughters, Michelle, Leslie, Dana and Kristie; one son, Mark; one sister, Barbara Sims of Seattle; one brother; Bub Chase of Federal Way, Wash.; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Swensen of Lake Goodwin, Wash.
