June 10, 1945 – September 16, 2025
Gary A. Coffman age 80 of Hamilton passed away on Tuesday September 16, 2025. He was born in Eldorado, OH the son of the late Robert and Evelyn (nee Troxell) Coffman.
Gary was as proud veteran of the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his loving wife Vicki Coffman; four children Rebecca (Mark) Petry, Gary Coffman Jr, Christine Patton, and Michelle Penley; one step daughter Brandy (Jeff) Turco; fourteen grandchildren Christopher Petry, Jesse (Teri) Petry, Megan (Josh) Dodson, Nicholas (Kendra) Coffman, Kelly Patton, Angel Patton, Katelyn Powell, Jeffrey Powell, Joshua Gilbert, Hailey Gilbert, Cody (Destiny) Hunter, TJ Hunter, Casey Hunter, and Arianna Turco; seventeen great grandchildren Jamie, Maddie, Carter, Barrett, Marlee, Laynee, Graesyn, Jayden, Gabby, Wyatt, Chloe, Michael, Elli, Nellie, Ember, Pennie, and Gracelynn; one brother Harley “Butch” (the late Katherine) Coffman. Gary also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other family, and close friends.
He was also preceded in death by one grandson James Patton: five siblings Doris Thomas, Phyllis Kay Thomas, Elaine Pelfrey, William Coffman, and Robert Coffman.
Visitation will be on Saturday September 20, 2025, at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield from 11:00AM until the time of the funeral at 1:00PM with Pastor Johnny Wallen officiating. Burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery with full military honors.

Gary served a tour in the Vietnam War as a UH-1F/P helicopter Flight Mechanic and Door Gunner with the USAF 20th SOS “Green Hornets” in the 1969-1970-time-frame.
