James E. Cowan, Colonel, USAF (Retired)
October 11, 1930 – June 13, 1997
James E. Cowan was a potential VHPA member who died after his tour in Vietnam on June 13, 1997 at the age of 66 from age related illness in Cheyenne, WY.
He served with the 21st SOS in 1970 – 1971 using the call sign “Knife”.
