Gil Cowell

Gil served our country in USAF helicopters after leaving the USAF Academy in 1985.

1986, at Fort Rucker AAF, AL.

1986 – 1989, at Malmstrom AFB, MT. with the 37th on the UH-1F/N’s.

1989 – 1993, at Andrews AFB, MD. with the 1st HS on UH-1N’s.

1993 – 1998, at Grand Forks AFB, ND., with the 79th on the UH-1H’s.

After leaving the USAF, Gil continues to enter the air under “rotor heads”, flying several types of helicopters in his civilian career, first with the University of North Dakota and presently with the University of Wisconsin.
