Colonel Jerry Wayne Cruit, Colonel, USAF (Retired)

Funeral services for Colonel Jerry Wayne Cruit, 54, United States Air Force Retired, will be held today, March 5, 2003, at 11 a.m. at the Emerald Coast Funeral Home in Fort Walton Beach, with Pastor Don Kirsch officiating with full military honors.
Recently retired from the Air Force, where he was a hero and patriot, he had a distinguished 30-year career as a helicopter pilot and served in Vietnam, Panama and Desert Storm.
He died on March 2, 2003, in Santa Rosa Beach. He will be remembered as a wonderful man, cherished by his friends. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and son and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lynn; two sons, Trampas and his wife Beth of Santa Rosa Beach, and Chandler and his wife Beth of Shreveport, La.; his mother, Dot Lowke of Atmore; his two grandchildren, Kara and Kate; and many extended family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a charity of one’s choice in the deceased name.
