1972 – 1976, I was a H-3 & H-53 crew chief (43150C).

1973 – 1974, at Hill AFB, UT.

1974 – 1975, at NKP RTAFB, Thailand with the 21st SOS, I was the Crew Chief on CH-53C 68-10926. I worked on CH-53’s the rest of my active time. I was involved in Operation Frequent Wind, Eagle Pull, and the Mayaguez  Incident.

I lost my best friend and roommate during the Mayaguez Incident.

1975 – 1976, I was stationed at Wright-Patterson AFB, in Dayton, OH. There, I was on the first Pave-Low helicopter they tested.
