William C. Dean, USAF
October 14, 1942 – May 16, 2001
William Charles Dean, 58, of Bella Vista died May 16, 2001, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale.
He was born Oct. 14, 1942, in Hartford, Conn., to Louis and Virginia Takoris Dean. He moved to Bella Vista 10 years ago from Altus, Okla.
He was a decorated pilot in the Air Force with 21 years of service.
Survivors include his parents; his wife, Linda Dean; one son, Michael Dean, all of Springdale; two brothers, Greg Dean of California and John Dean of Washington.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at National Cemetery in Fayetteville. Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

1st Lt. Dean served as a C/HH-3C helicopter pilot with the 38th ARS during the Vietnam War in the 1966 time-frame.
