Joe E. Escobedo

Helicopter Mechanic;

Deployed to 38th Air Rescue & Recovery Squadron in Cam Ranh Bay, South Viet Nam in September 1970 and later transferred to Det. 9, 38th Air Rescue & Recovery Squadron at Nakhon Phanom, Thailand. Served from September 1970 to September 1971. I worked on HH-43 Pedro Helicopters and was also assigned as a flight crew chief during my tour.

I completed my initial 4 years active duty from 1970 to 1974 and then joined the Army Reserves for 7 years in conjunction with 22 years with the Air Force Reserves.

I retired in 2005.
