Richard Fonner

Richard served our country for over 30 years and served in the helicopter field from:

Helicopter Assignments;

Sep. 1968 – Jan. 1969, at Sheppard AFB, TX. for Basic Helicopter School.

Jan. 1969 – May 1970, at Ellsworth AFB, SD. with the 28th OMS as a Helicopter Mechanic on the UH-1F’s.

May 1970 – Jul. 1970, at Sheppard AFB, TX. as a student at the HH-43 School.

Jul. 1970 – Jul. 1971, at Ubon RTAFB, Thailand with Det. 3, 3rd ARRGp as a Flight Mechanic on HH-43’s (TDY to Det. 9, NKP RTAFB 08 to 11/70).

Aug. 1971 – Jun. 1972, at Grand Forks AFB, ND. with the 319th OMS as a Flight Line Supervisor on the UH-1F’s.

These are only my assignments with helicopters. The remainder of my 30+ years in the USAF and ANG were in Aircraft Maintenance and later in Visual Communications.
