~ Final Flight 15 July 2016 ~
Royal Emerson Foster Jr., Lt. Colonel, USAF (Retired)
October 29, 1935 – July 15, 2016
Mr. Royal Foster took his Final Flight at 2:30 p.m. July 15, 2016.
He and Dolores were attending the USAF Helicopter Reunion at Great Falls, Montana. This was the 4th day of events and we had just completed the Gates of the Mountains boat tour, had lunch and getting ready to board the buses back to Great Falls. Royal was just commenting to me on how much he enjoyed the tour and I was turning to go to my bus when he collapsed. Kathy Mulder and JoAnne McTasney were nurses in our group and immediately began CPR.
First Responders and ambulance arrived shortly but Royal had taken his “Final Flight”. Godspeed Royal Foster.
Royal Foster was pilot with the 20th Helicopter Squadron “Green Hornets” in Vietnam 1967-68
