Homer Arthur Gaouette III, Major, USAF (Retired)
April 08, 1933 – March 31, 2001

Homer A. Gaouette III, 67, of Pensacola died Saturday, March 31, 2001.

He retired a Major, SAC Command Pilot, served as director of Emergency Services with the American Red Cross and also retired as an Instructor from PJC. He was a Life member of VFW Post 706, American Legion Post 340 and Elks Lodge 497.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Faye; mother of his children, Margaret Gaouette; sons, David (Sharo) and Homer (Tammy Gaouette; daughter, Sally Anne Gaouette Le’Lon (Ken) Vardeman; grandchildren, Brian, Sean, Joseph, Katie and Alexis Gaouette and Joseph and Alicia Vardeman.

A grave service will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2001 at Barrancas National Cemetery.

McNeil-Keyes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the The Hospice of Northwest Florida.
