Roger C. Gibson, Major, USAF (Retired)
September 15, 1936 – September 22, 2007
Major Roger Cromwell Gibson (Ret. Air Force), 71, died Saturday, September 22, 2007 at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital.
He was born September 15, 1936, in Trenton, NJ, a son of the late Josiah R. and Mary Edmondson Gibson.
He graduated from Central High School, attended Charlotte College and served as a pilot in the United States Air Force. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, September 25, 2007, at 1:00 PM at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte with Rev. Adolph Smith officiating with full military honors.
Surviving are a sister, Charlotte Russ and husband, Bert of Hamlet, NC.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 300 Charlotte St., Hamlet, NC 28345. Watson-King Funeral Home in Hamlet is serving the Gibson family.

Captain Gibson served a Vietnam War tour as a HH-3E pilot with Det. 1, 40th ARRS in the 1968-1969-time frame.
