1972 – 1975 at Elmendorf AFB, AK with the 5040th Helicopter Sq. as a CH-3E pilot.

1975 – 1979 at Hurlburt Field, FL with the 20th SOS as a CH-3E pilot.

Entered the USAF on 12/16/1970. OTS commission in March, 1971. Army Chopper School followed by 7 years and 2300 hours flying choppers; Fixed wing training then 1800 hours flying fighters. Retired Lt Colonel on January 1, 1991.
