Airman Safe In Helicopter Crash

SKANEATELES (AP) – Two airmen escaped injury when their H-19 helicopter crashed last night near Five Mile Point at Skaneateles Lake.

Lt. Donn G. Marcussen and SSgt. Basil I. Gray, both of Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., were enroute from Bridgeport, Conn. to Kinross Air Force Base, Mich. when they were forced to land for refueling.

Shortly after the take off, the helicopter crashed.
