Helicopter Pilot Injured In Crash At Rome Air Base
An H-5 helicopter crashed today at Griffiss Air Force Base at Rome and injured the pilot, Capt. James A. Nolan of 619 Glen Ave., Scotia.
Noland, 36, was reported in satisfactory condition at the base hospital. The base public information officer said Nolan had taken off on a local flight. No other details were given.
Nolan, an ROTC instructor at Union College in Schenectady, was assigned to Griffiss for flying.
