Gene Earl Hamman, Major, USAF (Retired)
March 14, 1933 – November 12, 2010
HAMMAN, GENE EARL (MAJOR USAF RETIRED) – age 77 was a graduate of Purdue University and the USAF Test Pilot School. He married Edna Vera (nee Nesbitt) Hamman.
Major Hamman was a veteran of the Vietnam War, and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross three times and the Air Medal eleven times.
He was a Bridge Life Master and as a trap shooter had over one-hundred-thousand registered targets.
Major Hamman was predeceased by a son Douglas Paul Hamman. He was survived by numerous cousins.
Major Hamman will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. No services will be held in Knoxville, Tn.
In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to Knoxville Association of Bridge Clubs, 7400 Dean Hill Dr. Knoxville, TN 37919.
