DEFOREST “DEE” ROGER HAYES, 81, of Kailua, died Jan. 25, 2009. Born in Syracuse, N.Y., April 1, 1927.

Owner and president of Glassware Decorators of Hawaii; U.S. Air Force helicopter pilot.

Survived by wife, Isabel; children, Richard, Peter, David, Michael, Barbara Hayes-Vitor and Jean Hayes-Yasui; granddaughters, Mairiana and Desirae Hayes-Vitor.

Service at a later date. Arrangements by Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary.
