Ernest A. Headberg Jr., Lt. Colonel, USAF (Retired)

Lt. Col. Ernest Allen Headberg Jr., USAF (Ret.), 78, died Friday.
Born January 6, 1926, in Concord, NH, he was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and the Korean conflict and retired from the US Air Force as a lieutenant colonel.
After retirement, he taught Junior ROTC at Jeffersonville High School for 13 years.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Hurd Headberg of Jeffersonville; two daughters, Robin (Gregory) Ramsey of Hampton, VA, and Tracy (Randy) Phillips of Winnie, TX; two sons, Greg Allen (Carolyn) Headberg and Mark Allen Headberg, all of Friendswood, TX; three sisters, Virginia Headberg Bailey of Richmond, VA, Jean Headberg Richards of Beverly, MA, and Shirley Headberg Nemicollo of Concord; and six grandchildren.
There will be no service or visitation. Scott Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Lt. Col. Headburg served a Vietnam War tour as a HH-43F pilot with Det. 13, 38th ARRS in the 1969 – 1970-time frame.
