SSgt. Christopher P. Hetrick, age 42, of Valdosta, GA passed away Friday May 28, 2021 at his residence.
He was born in Canton, Ohio on December 26, 1978 and graduated from McKinley High School. Following high school he joined the United States Air Force and was currently stationed at Moody Air Force Base in Georgia serving as a helicopter mechanic.
Chris was currently working to run a half-marathon in all 50 states and enjoyed woodworking. He was a loving father, son and brother.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Floyd and Mildred Housley, Paul Hetrick and Vivian Danner and an uncle, Allen Housley.
Survivors include a daughter, Calliope Hetrick; two sons, Cameron and Chase Hetrick, all children are of Crawfordville, Fla.; mother, Elaine Plott of Canton; father, Jeffrey (Rose) Hetrick of Akron; step-father, Daniel (Julie) Plott of Canton; two brothers, Jeff and Jesse Hetrick, both of Akron; two sisters,, Kristi (Adrian) Nenu and Kelly Plott, both of Fla.; mother of children and friend, April Hetrick of Crawfordville, Fla. as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, June 6, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at Reed Funeral Home NORTH CANTON Chapel (801 Pittsburg Ave. NW, North Canton, OH 44720) with military honors presented. Memorial visitation will be on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
