My Vietnam days were spent at Ubon RTAFB as a Flight Engineer in Det. 3, 38th ARRS on the venerable HH-43B.

On 20 Jan 1969 I picked a F-4 WSO out of a field near Ubon.

Further service was spent in the 193rd SOS as a Flight Engineer on the EC-121C/S, EC-130E and when the EC-130J arrived (no engineer seat) I cross trained to a Loadmaster for my last 5 years.

What a life.  I have been so blessed!
