Ronald J. “Keers” Keersmaekers, USAF
May 19, 1946 – December 27, 1988
Ronald J. Keersmaekers, 42, died from complications of multiple sclerosis Tuesday at St. Joseph Hospital West in Clinton Township.
Mr. Keersmaekers, of Warren, graduated from Lakeshore High School, St. Clair Shores, in 1964 and attended St. Clair Community College in Port Huron.
He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War, and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 154, Mt. Clemens.
He was General Motors executive manager at Ed Rinke Chevrolet in Centerline, where he was known as Ron Keers. He retired in 1977 due to ill health.
He was a member of St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church in Warren.
Survivors include his parents, Edmund and Patricia.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, Warren.
Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.
