Francis A. Kelley, Major, USAF (Retired)
August 18, 1921 – September 25, 2009
Francis A. Kelley of Plymouth died on Sept 25, 2009, at the West Roxbury V.A Hospital at the age of 88.
He was the husband of Eleanor (McNeill) Kelley of Plymouth. Father of Paul Kelley and his wife Joanne of Teen, and Kathleen Crobar and her husband Bob of Plymouth. Grandfather of Kevin Kelley, Michael Kelley, Alessandra Magno and the late Scott McNeill. Great Grandfather of Curran and Patrick.
Mr. Kelley was a Major in the United States Air Force serving in WWII, Korea and Vietnam.
A gathering at the Shepherd Funeral Home 216 Main St (Rt106) Kingston will be held on Tuesday Sept 29, 2009, from 9:30- 11:30am followed by a Military Services at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 1pm.
Awarded a Silver Star for a daring rescue on 9 March 1966 at the Special Forces A Shau base.

Major Kelley served a Vietnam War tour as a CH-3C pilot with the 20th Helicopter Squadron “Pony Express” in the 1966-time frame.
