Victims of Crash Identified

WASHINGTON (UP) – The Air Force today make public the names of eight persons killed and presumed dead in a fighter plane and a helicopter crash in Korea yesterday.

Listed as dead in the crash of an H-19 helicopter which sought to rescue victims of the fighter crash was A1C Vernon Elmer Cranmer, 11417 S. W. 46th Ave., Portland.

Those listed as missing and presumed dead in the same helicopter included. Lt. Col. Joyce A. Albert, husband of Madelaine Albert, Walnut Creek, Calif, and Capt. Julian M. Kidwell, husband of Francis Smith Kidwell, 378 Roxbury Dr., San Bernardino, Calif.

Maplewood Soldier Missing in Korea

Washington, July 31 (AP) – The air force has listed a Maplewood, N.J., man as missing and presumed dead in the crash of a helicopter in Korea.

The victim, identified as 1st Lt. Stanley Wright Jr., son of Stanley Wright of 450 Ridgewood road, Maplewood, N.J., was a member of a helicopter crew which went to the aid of a downed F-94 fighter Thursday.

Two other crew member and three officers who boarded the helicopter for the mercy flight also were listed as missing and presumed dead as were the two officers aboard the crashed fighter plane.
