Clarence T. Kukar, 87, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away on May 17, 2022, at his home.
He was born on April 21, 1935, in North Chicago, Illinois, the son of Clarence W. and Bernice (Siwula) Kukar.
Mr. Kukar attended Waukegan Township High School (IL) and subsequently served 4 years in the Air Force starting in 1953, which included a one-year stint in Korea as a helicopter mechanic.
On June 11, 1960, Clarence married the love of his life, Joan Marie (Slovnik), and they enjoyed 55 years of marriage until her death in 2015. He was a devoted husband and father, who enjoyed golf, gardening, watching his favorite sports team the Chicago Cubs, and spent his spare time volunteering for Meals on Wheels. Clarence was a dedicated employee for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for his entire 41-year tenure there until his retirement in 1999.
Survivors include one son, Scott Kukar (Tucson, AZ), two sisters, Joyce Kukar (Grafton, WI) and Patty Kukar (Denver, CO), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Kukar was preceded in death by his parents, wife Joan, sister Alice (Wells), and two sons Darrell and Richard.
A graveside memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 1st at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 801 SW Westchester Rd. Topeka, KS 66606.
