Clarke, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on February 22, 2025, at home with Carol and our dog Marley by his side.

He is survived by his wife and best friend Carol, Green Valley, AZ; by three daughters, Elizabeth Hutchinson, Loveland, CO, Jennifer Davis, Longmont, CO, and Katie Lambert Sydney AUS; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Clarke was born and raised in Hartford, WI and maintained a lifetime friendship with the other four members of the “Fabulous Five”. He graduated from Drake University in Des Moines, IA and then joined the Air Force. Clarke flew helicopters in support of special ops in Vietnam and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and an Air Force Commendation medal. Clarke earned an MBA at Golden Gate University in San Francisco and after the Air Force spent the next 25 years in Purchasing positions, first for Schlitz Brewing Co. and then for a number of start-up companies in Colorado. He was a Paul Harris Fellow in the Sierra Vista Rotary. And he was a lifelong Green Bay Packer fan.

Clarke and Carol retired to Arizona where Clarke was able to enjoy his lifelong passion for golf by working in various golf club Pro Shops in exchange for free golf. Clarke loved to help others and in retirement he volunteered for the Tucson VA, Vensel Treasure Shoppe, and he coached for the US Blind Golf Association.

Clarke will be cremated and in lieu of Flowers, the family suggests a donation to the public library in Hartford, WI. The family will hold a celebration of life in Colorado later this year.
