Robert “Bob” E. Lee, Lt. Colonel, USAF (Retired)
April 16, 1933 – November 08, 2014

Lt. Col. Robert E. “Bob” Lee, 81 of Hendersonville, NC., born on April 16, 1933, died Saturday, November 8, 2014.

He was the son of the late John and Roberta Lee. Bob served in the US Air Force as a pilot.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Mary Anne Lee; four children, Michael Lee and his wife Kimberly, Patty Herndon and her husband Robert, Thomas R. Lee, and Jennifer A. Lee; four grandchildren, Ryann Darney Lee, Kathryn Taylor Lee, Mason Lee Herndon, and Christian Walter Herndon.

A memorial mass will be held at 3:00 pm, Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church with Reverend Namdev Dagam officiating. Interment will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. 208 7th Ave West Hendersonville, NC 28791

Mary Anne and family, thank you all for being friends with my family for 50 years now. I will miss Bobby’s visits at the car lot and the many stories and memories that we shared. Always know the entire Freeman family is nearby if you need us.

Mary Anne and family, I am so sorry for your loss, Bob was a great guy and will be missed by everyone. I am sure his memorial service on Veterans Day was a fine tribute to his service. Diane and I send our condolences.
