Robert W. Letton, 54, of 414 Hollow Creek Lane, Mt. Sterling, Died Friday at the University of KY. Medical Center.
He was a native of Paris, son of the late George Clark and Lucy Williams Letton.
He was the State Rural Development Coordinator for the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture.
He was a veteran of Vietnam, serving in the U.S. Air Force and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.
He was a member of First Christian Church in Mt. Sterling and MT. Sterling Kiwanis Club. He was graduate of the University of KY. and a member of Alpah Gamma Rho Fraternity.
He is survived by his wife, Gerre Letton, Mt. Sterling; two sons, Bob Letton, Winston-Salem, NC and Bill Letton, Prestonsburg; four grandchildren, Will, Nate, Haley and Luck Letton; his father-in-law, William Ashton, Mt. Sterling; a brother, George Letton, Dayton, OH; and a sister, Linda Stith, Covington.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Eastin-Taul Funeral Home, Mt. Sterling. Burial will be in the Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Sunday.
Memorial contributions are suggested to First Christian Church, Mt. Sterling, VFW or the American Heart Fund.

1st Lt. Letton served a Vietnam War tour as a HH-3C/E pilot with Det. 5, 38th ARRS in the 1965-1966-time frame.
