Uncle Steve was a great man! When I think of my early memories, I recall fun times – how he loved all of us nieces and nephews visiting – from Christmas in South Dakota to Thanksgiving at the Cape, Brookline NH and then Northfield – he always made us feel welcome and at home. Time passed and we all had our own families but over the past few years my children had the opportunity to get to know Uncle Steve at my parent’s summer home. Now my children connected with – not only a great uncle – but a war hero who shared his stories – who they admire – and appreciate all he did to serve and protect our country – they understand what a bronze medal means -and how important our freedom is and how we have been protected because of people like Uncle Steve. He will be missed but always remembered and admired! Aunt Jean, my cousins Stephen, Bob and Tricia – I am so sorry for your loss – your husband and dad was a special person – and we are sorry for your loss! You are in our thoughts and prayers! With love, Jeanmarie, Andrew, Michael and Caitlin
