Mr. Michael Millen, 60, passed away on Thursday, August 06, 2020, in Atlanta, GA. Public viewing is Tues., Aug. 11, 2020, 5 pm – 7 pm, at Allen Funeral Home, Ridgeland, SC. Graveside Service is Wed. August 12, 2020, at 11 AM, at Roseland Cemetery, Ridgeland, SC. Allen Funeral Home in Ridgeland, SC is in charge. (In the event of inclement weather, the Service will be held in the Allen Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland, SC)
Michael Calvin Millen was born September 16, 1959, to Henry S. Millen Sr. and Edna Mae Millen. Michael was born and raised in Ridgeland, SC, where he attended Ridgeland High School, graduating in 1977.
Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force for 17 years, where he was a helicopter mechanic. Michael spent the last 24 years in Atlanta, Georgia where he worked at Morehouse College. He was well known in his community as a mechanic and better known as “Mr. Fix-it”. He was greatly respected and always willing to help whenever and wherever he was needed.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his sons Jordan Pollard and Michael Pollard of Atlanta, GA; Betty Jenkins of Hardeeville, SC; Julia J. Blake of Ridgeland, SC; Henry S. Millen Jr. (Emma) Scotia, SC; Sandra Washington (Calvin) of Ridgeland, SC; Jonnie L. Millen (Sharon) of Beaufort, SC; Jackie Brown of Bronx, NY; Ronnie D. Millen (Laura) of Conyers, GA; Harry C. Millen (Carolyn) of Ridgeland, SC; Carlos Millen (Dana) Orangeburg, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends to include Roy Shepard and childhood friend Robert Dupont.
