Geoffrey W. Moore, MSgt., USAF (Retired)
January 01, 1951 – August 22, 2008
Geoffrey W. Moore, age 57, a resident of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., died peacefully at home after a long illness on Aug. 22, 2008.
He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a master sergeant with the Helicopter Rescue and Recovery Unit and had numerous commendations and medals during his service.
Geoff is survived by Grace Moore, wife; Jason Moore, son, of Woodhaven, N.Y.; Gavin Sr. and Kathleen Moore, son and daughter-in-law of Hicksville, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Lexi, Gavin Jr. and Shannon; Marcus and Ruth Moore, parents, of Allentown, Pa.; John Moore, brother, of Clearwater, Fla.; Prudence Giel, sister, of Milford, N.J.; and Priscilla Jacobson, sister, of Washington, N.J.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS, Pensacola, Fla., with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Covenant Hospice, 101 Hart St., Niceville, FL 32578, in Geoff’s memory.
