Charles “Chuck” Edward Noyes, USAF (Retired)

Charles “Chuck” Edward Noyes, 82, of Naperville, IL, and formerly of North Aurora, IL, passed away on July 17, 2022.
He was born December 6, 1939, the son of Helen and Fredrick Noyes.
Chuck (Charlie) attended Charlestown High School in Boston and was in the co-op program where he became an apprentice electrician. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1957 and went on to study electronics and became a radar technician. With encouragement from his squadron commander, he applied for admission to the Air Force Academy. After a year of prep school, he was admitted to USAFA class of 1964, and was in the 20th squadron. He received a BS in Military Science. Went to helicopter pilot training and flew HH-43B choppers for 2 years, then became a helicopter instructor. Went back to pilot training and learned to fly fixed-wing planes. Flew C-130s for 6 years. Received an MBA in 1980 and retired from the military. Chuck liked electronics, was an entrepreneur, was a handyman, and mechanic, and had many hobbies. He flew RC airplanes, made and flew his own kites, and loved astronomy. Chuck was a member of the Fox Valley Aero Club and was a 3rd and 4th degree Knight of Columbus.
Chuck is survived by his wife.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Fredrick Noyes; sister Louise Elizabeth Noyes, brother Robert Paul Noyes 161493143, and other family members. Interment will take place the following day, Thursday, August 4, 2022, at 10:30 AM at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
