Jun. 1971 – Apr. 1972, at UCLA, Los Angeles, CA. as a Masters degree student in engineering management.
Apr. 1972 – Jul. 1972, at Fort Wolters, Mineral Wells, TX. as a Student helicopter pilot in primary helicopter training (phase 1), on TH-55A.
Jul. 1972 – Nov. 1972, at Fort Rucker, AL. as a student helicopter pilot in primary helicopter training (phase 2) Bell 47’s and UH-1’s.
Nov. 1972 – Jun. 1973, at Hill AFB, UT. as a helicopter pilot for advanced flight training in UH-1N’s and HH-3E’s.
Jun. 1973 -Dec. 1975, at Keflavik NAS, Iceland with Det. 14, 67th ARRS as a rescue pilot on HH-3E’s.
Dec. 1975 – Jun. 1977, at Elmendorf AFB, Anchorage, AK with the 71st ARRS as a rescue pilot on HH-3E’s.
