PIDO, Michael P. 84, of Beavercreek, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014. He was born March 6, 1930, in Clairton, Pennsylvania, the son of Michael and Helen Pido.

Michael served our country in the U.S. Air Force as a helicopter pilot during the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

He worked at U.S. Steel to pay his way through college. Michael attended Duquesne University and The University of Pittsburg and secured an Aeronautical and Mechanical engineering degree. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and telling jokes. Michael was a member of the St. Luke Leisure club. He was a very unselfish person and will be greatly missed.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Audrey Vellucci. He is survived by his wife whom he married Aug. 20, 1955, Emma, son, Michael J. Pido and many nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 7, 2014, at St. Luke Catholic Parish 1440 N. Fairfield Rd. Beavercreek, with burial following at Valley View Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 6, 2014, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home – Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432).
