The Philadelphian who lost his life was Pfc. Lawrence A. Reid, 20, son of Mrs. Madalene Reid, of 2338 W. Norris St.

Reid, a medical corpsman attached to an air rescue unit was killed Sept. 13, according to notification received by his mother. Reid enlisted July 24, 1950, and was sent overseas last Jan. 1 after training at Fort Sam Houston, Tex. He was a graduate of Dobbins Vocational School.
