Tommy Reinhardt, USAF (Retired)
April 21, 1932 – August 20, 2016

Tommy Reinhardt passed peacefully on August 20, 2016. He was born in Baltimore, MD to William and Loretta Reinhardt on April 21, 1932.

Tom is survived by Esther, his loving wife of 51 years; his son Kurt and his family; Kat, Zach and Matt; his son Paul and his family; Naomi, Joshua and Jacob; his daughter Julie and her family; Rick, Jordan, and Whitney; his son Jim and his family; Melissa, Cassandra, Jenny and Ian his daughter Sarah and her husband Ron.

Tom graduated from West Point in 1956 and served in the Air Force until 1977, when he retired in Albuquerque. A life-long learner, he held a Bachelor’s in psychology and a Master’s in Nuclear Engineering. He loved flying helicopters. When he took on the responsibilities of children he gave up flying and devoted himself to raising a strong loving family. He loved to hunt and fish and be out in the woods most of all.

Tom’s dance with prostate cancer lasted almost 20 years and he lead almost the whole way, staying strong until the end.

The family would like to thank the VA Hospital, Compassus Hospice and his doctors for their expert care.

A life celebration will be held on October 15, 2016 at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, Tom requested that he be remembered with a donation to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
