Reyes, Frederick

Frederick “Fred” Reyes, USAF
April 01, 1944 – July 20, 2013

Fred Reyes died suddenly at home at the age of 69 on July 20th.

Fred was born and raised on Oahu, Hawaii. He was a Vietnam vet who served as an Air Force helicopter mechanic both in Cambodia and Thailand. He moved to Eugene in 1995 where he opened his own yard care business until retiring. His greatest joys were his beautiful garden, his many cats and all the wild animals that he cared for each day.

He was an avid fisherman and biker. He loved riding his Harley through the volcano roads of the Big Island, rides to Sturgis, and many cruises with his buddies both in Eugene and Hawaii.

Fred is survived by his loving mother, Misao; sister, Patti Schwabl (husband Jim); and nephew James Schwabl ? all now of Eugene. He was preceded in death by his father Frederick Sr.

As would be Fred’s wish, no service is scheduled. Remembrances to Greenhill Humane Society.
