Arthur Joseph Russo, USAF
May 04, 1946 – January 22, 2021
Nashville – Arthur Joseph Russo, age 74, was born in Philadelphia, PA, in May of 1946 and passed away January 22, 2021.
After successfully completing high school he joined the United States Air Force where he excelled as a mechanic on helicopters. Art was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Air Force Commendation Medal. Art served in the USAF as an Inventory Management Specialist.
Following honorable discharge at Scott Air Force Base, IL, he moved to Colorado, then to Nashville. Art lived in Nashville more than 40 years and adopted it as his second home. He worked for several local companies including Ingram Industries before his retirement.
Art is preceded in death by his mother, father and sister. A longtime resident of Windlands South, Art will truly be missed by the many people he befriended.
A memorial service will be held at 12:30 pm on Tues., Feb. 16, at Middle TN Veterans Cemetery, 7931 McCrory Ln in Nashville. PHILLIPS-ROBINSON FUNERAL HOME, (615)262-3312.
