Services: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church.

Visitation: 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 6, 2010 at Hixson Brothers, Alexandria and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.

Services for Major David R. Sagor, USAF, Retired will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Wayne Painter officiating, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria. Military Honors will be provided by Barksdale Air Force Base Honor Guard.

Mr. Sagor, 86, of Alexandria passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at his residence.

He was an honored member of the United States Air Force and retired after 26 years of service. He proudly served in World War II, The Korean War and The Vietnam War. He was awarded the Commendation Ribbon, an Air Medal, The American Theater Service Medal, Asiatic Pacific Service Medal with four bronze stars, The World War II Victory Medal, the Army of Occupation Medal. He loved sharing stories of his flight missions and all of the places he visited. He truly loved his time as a USAF Pilot and was so proud to serve his country. He attended Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church. He was a beloved husband, and father, and a loving grandfather and great grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John B. Sagor and Rachel Fureby Sagor; brothers, Arvid Sagor and Roy D. Sagor; sister, Mae Kortegard.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Sarah Alice Rushing Ware Sagor of Alexandria; daughters, Brenda Sagor of Chicago, Illinois, Paulette Sagor Olson of Marysville, Washington, Deborah Sagor Hopper and husband, Pat of Edmonds, Washington, Kristine K. Sagor of Everett, Washington; step-daughter, Barbara W. Painter and husband, Wayne of Alexandria; brother, John E. Sagor of Olympia, Washington; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Friends may call Friday at Hixson Brothers, Alexandria from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
