Jesse M. Samek, A1C, USAF (Fallen)
January 03, 1983 – October 20, 2004

Air Force Airman 1st Class Jesse M. Samek, 21, of Rogers, Ark.; was assigned to the 66th Rescue Squadron, Nellis Air Force Base, Nev.; died in Kandahar, Afghanistan on Oct. 21 from injuries he received when an Air Force HH-60 helicopter aircraft crashed during a medical evacuation mission in Afghanistan.

He was a graduate of Rogers High School in 2001.

Among the survivors are his parents, Gavin and Julia Samek of Rogers, Ark.; a brother, Benjamin David Samek of Rogers, Ark.; and grandparents, David and Virginia Burkemper of O’Fallon.
