Lt. Col. Edwin H. Shearer II, Retired USAF, 79, Piedmont, SD, died February 24, 2015, at Sturgis Regional Senior Care.

Ed is survived by wife, Kay Shearer; children, Dana Pierse, Ed Shearer III, Paula Hall, and Jon Shearer; half-sister, Linda Shearer-Fowler; stepchildren, Amy Wallin and Aric Davidson; and grandchildren.

Edwin H. Shearer served in the Vietnam War as a CH-3E pilot with the 20th Helicopter Sq. (Pony Express) in the 1967-time frame.
