Shinn, William C. (KIA)

William C. Shinn, SSgt., USAF (KIA)
July 07, 1948 – January 28, 1970

He was the flight engineer on an HH-53B that was on its way to rescue the crew of an F-105G that had been shot down in North Vietnam. The helicopter exploded when hit by a missile fired from a MiG-21; none of the 6 men aboard survived. 
His remains were not recovered. He is memorialized at the Honolulu Memorial, Courts of the Missing, Court A, and at Woodland Cemetery, Woodland, CA.
