Funeral services for Ms. Diane Sullivan, (MSGT) U.S. Air Force (Ret.), will be held Monday, April 14, 2014, at 12 p.m., at Striving for Perfection Ministries located at 24 Bass Ave., Fort Walton Beach, Fla. Ms. Sullivan will lie in repose at Striving for Perfection Ministries from 10 to 11:50 a.m., prior to service.

Interment will follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery.

Ms. Diane Sullivan, Ret, USAF (MSGT.) funeral services was held Monday, April 14, 2014 at 12 p.m. at Striving for Perfection Ministries located at 24 Bass Avenue., Fort Walton Beach, with Minister Marva Hills officiating, McKinnie Funeral Home (Crestview) directing. Interment with full Military honors followed at Beal Memorial Cemetery.

Diane Taylor Sullivan was born July 02, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri to the proud parents of Theo Taylor, Sr. and Lillie Mae Moore.

Diane attended elementary and middle schools in San Mateo CA and graduated from Wilcox High School in Santa Clara, CA. She went on to receive an Associate of Arts Degree before entering the US Air Force. Master Sargent Sullivan served 21 faithful years in the Air Force which include tours of duty in Germany, London, Korea, Japan, and Saudi Arabia.

After retiring from service she became employed at the Eglin Federal Credit Union. She worked diligently as a PAL Processor until her passing.

She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior as a youth. After returning to Ft. Walton Beach area she became a faithful member of Striving for Perfection Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Larry Boldin. Diane was a member of the Praise Team and became active in the Royal Generation Development while Curtis was an active participant. Diane was a skillful photographer who loved capturing precious moments. She was an avid reader and a member of the Sunday’s Best Book Club comprised of ten Godly women.

Diane really knew her way around the kitchen. Among family and friends, she was also known for her delicious desserts. Although her career took her to different parts of the world, her heart always remained close to family. Additionally, she was a great role model, and a very devoted and loving mother to her son.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother: Margaret Moore; mother: Lillie Taylor, brother: Arthur Taylor. Diane leaves to cherish her memory her loving son LaWayne Sullivan of Shalimar, Florida; step-daughters: Lawanda Sullivan of Las Vegas, NV and Latisha Isaac Branson (Damien) of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren: Xavier and Jacquez of Montgomery, AL and Daphne, Destiny and Dolan of Las Vegas, NV; father: Theo Taylor, Sr., of Santa Clara, CA; brother: Theo (April) Taylor, Jr., of San Jose, CA; sisters: Barbara Brown of Vallejo, CA, Charlotte Taylor of Sacramento, CA, Shirley Taylor and Sheri Fletcher (DeRon) both of San Jose, CA and Claudia Durham (Ernest) of Oakland, CA; an abundance of adorable nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
