In Joe’s own words, “giving and receiving love is all that matters. Absolutely, nothing else is important. I’ve done a million things, traveled a million places, shared my love with a million people and received love from so many.”

Joe will be missed by anyone who met him because he was just so amazing. Joe was generous with his time and so, so kind. He thought always about the people around him, never about himself. He wanted to draw joy out of everyone. Joe loved his wife, his family, and his friends with everything he had and made a tremendous impact on everyone who
crossed his path – friend, foe, or stranger.

Joe was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 20, 1958, the oldest of five and leader of the pack. He traveled the world, first as an Army brat, then served his country proud as an officer and helicopter pilot in the United States Air Force, then as a civilian pilot with NASA. Joe was a humble man, yet so very smart. He received his bachelor’s degree from Southeast Missouri State University and graduate degrees from both Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and the United States Naval War College.

Joe adored his wife Weezy who he met riding his beloved Harley. Albeit too short, Joe’s life was filled with lots of joy, rides, fun, adventures, friends and so much laughter. Joe Torsani was a gift and will be missed beyond belief. He will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his wife, his dedication to his family, his fierce loyalty to his friends, and immense enthusiasm for life, love, and laughter.
