UH-1F
Malmstrom AFB, MT
02 Sep 1967

The USAF & Humanitarian Airlift Operations 1947-1994 by Daniel L. Haul

A unknown UH-1F from Malmstrom AFB, MT., crewed by Maj. Richard W. Wyatt (P), Capt. Dale V. Hardy (CP) and Amn Robert E. Rogers (FM), crashed and burned near Bonners Ferry, ID. on takeoff while on fire-fighting duty in the Trappers Peak area. Both the pilot and copilot received sprains and bruises and the flight mechanic was not injured. Officials said the craft apparently lost hydraulic pressure on takeoff and crashed tail first.
